Job description
Job Title: Database Administrator (DBA) Location: Bangalore, Karnataka Experience: 4-7 years
Responsibilities Manage and administer database systems, ensuring availability, performance, and security. Conduct hands-on migration projects from Oracle to Postgres and Mongo to Postgres, ensuring smooth and successful transitions. Please perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, and patches as needed. Implement and maintain database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability. Monitor database performance and optimize query execution for improved efficiency. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, such as performance bottlenecks and system errors. Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database schemas, indexes, and data structures. Implement and enforce database security policies and access controls to protect sensitive data. Conduct regular database health checks and performance-tuning activities. Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices for knowledge sharing and future reference. Qualifications Hands-on experience in database administration, with a focus on Oracle, Postgres, and Mongo. Proven track record of successfully migrating databases from Oracle to Postgres and Mongo to Postgres. Proficiency in database installation, configuration, and maintenance tasks. Strong understanding of database backup and recovery strategies. Experience in performance monitoring, tuning, and optimization techniques. Familiarity with database security principles and access controls. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
