Job description
We are looking for a candidate who is result driven, self-motivated, an innovative designer with sound knowledge Electro-mechanical Engineer who is good in the basics of electrical engineering concepts and has expertise in design in Switching and Operators
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with US counterparts to comprehend customer requirements and gather information from purchase orders to create the Switch Operator.
- Assist the sustaining and research teams in meeting deadlines and delivering required outcomes.
- Research, evaluate, and implement best practices in the processes you follow through continuous improvement projects.
- Generate conceptual 3D designs, create schematics drawings, and create detailed designs for a wide range of electro-mechanical products using Autodesk Inventor.
- Transform ideas into feasible product-oriented designs.
- Validate the integrity of conceptual designs through FEA analysis.
- Produce accurate and comprehensive detailed design drawings for part manufacturing, incorporating GD&T.
- Develop drawings following ASME Y14.5M - 1994 standards.
- Support electrical product testing in accordance with IEEE standards.
- Demonstrate documentation, including design specifications, part drawings, engineering bills of materials, and assembly drawings per Hubbells standards.
Skills and Experience
- Overall experience with minimum 4 years experience in the electrical industry dealing with medium voltage protection and switching products
- Experience in independently leading a sustaining switchgear project Independently
- Must have working knowledge in all the features of Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks & AutoCAD Electrical
- Working knowledge in Autodesk Inventor and PLM vault is desirable
- Solid knowledge of designing medium/high voltage disconnecting switches and operators according to IEEE C37.30.1.
- Hands-on experience in managing projects and understanding utility customers requirements.
- Proficient in designing motor control systems, both conventional and solid-state.
- Expertise in using AutoCAD Electrical for schematic design, panel drawings, and report generation.
- Proficient in creating Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) as well as fabrication drawings using Inventor and SolidWorks.
- Thorough understanding of the electro-mechanical domain, including motor control and preparation of fabrication drawings.

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
