Head of Retail Operations for Hypermarket Chain - SG Maart, Jodhpur

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and results-oriented Retail Operations Leader to join our growing team at SG Maart. In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our store operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, and profitability across all our locations. You will provide strategic direction and guidance to our store managers, driving performance, implementing best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Responsibilities: Store Operations Management: Lead and oversee the performance of all retail stores, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and brand standards. Oversee store openings, renovations, and closures, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption. Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness. Manage and optimize labor costs, scheduling, and staffing across all stores. Work closely with store managers to identify and address operational challenges, providing coaching and support. Implement best practices for inventory management, loss prevention, and safety protocols. Performance Optimization: Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, and inventory turnover. Identify opportunities for improvement and develop action plans to enhance store performance. Implement initiatives to drive sales growth, improve customer experience, and optimize profitability. Track and report performance metrics to senior management and stakeholders. Team Leadership and Development: Provide strong leadership and mentorship to store managers and regional teams. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes motivation and engagement. Identify and develop the talent of store managers and provide opportunities for learning and growth. Coach and train store managers on operational best practices and leadership skills. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with other departments such as merchandising, marketing, and supply chain to ensure seamless operations. Communicate effectively with store managers, employees, and other stakeholders. Develop and maintain positive relationships with key internal and external partners. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail operations management, preferably within a grocery or supermarket chain such as Dmart, Reliance Retail, Future Group, etc. Proven track record of success in driving operational improvements and achieving financial goals. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
