About this role:
The Sr. Salesforce Release Engineer will analyze the artifacts for deployment based on Sprint releases, translating those artifacts into deployable bundles using the Salesforce toolsets and/or Salesforce native toolsets. He/She should have the following: experience in designing & building DevOps solution using Salesforce and/or Salesforce native toolsets. He/She should also have experience in understanding of Salesforce.com architecture, Web Services and APIs, handling salesforce metadata/environment/sandbox management. He/She should have experience in Implementing complex Salesforce DevOps pipeline for Salesforce releases with native Salesforce Tool (preferably Flosum). He/She collaborates with teams and supports emerging technologies to ensure effective communication and achievement of objectives.
Additional details:
- Will be working on a global deployment of Salesforce Platform Management to 40 countries and corresponding languages, 1000 locations and 25,000 users
- This is a dynamic application that is rapidly growing with new Partner relationship, Language translations and Content Management functionalities
- Implemented complex Salesforce DevOps pipeline for Salesforce releases with native Salesforce Tool (preferably Flosum)
- Automate release processes using Salesforce deployment tools.
- Performs tasks within planned durations and established deadlines.
- Collaborates with teams to ensure effective communication in supporting the achievement of objectives.
- Strong Ability to debug and resolve deployment related issues/defects.
- Author technical approach and design documentation of the release trains.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Good Knowledge on Salesforce Release/Deployment/Code Movement Process along with Salesforce best practice of deployments
- Knowledge on CI/CD process so as to establish defect free deployment process
- Experience in designing & building a solution for deployments using Salesforce & Salesforce Native tool sets, Change sets etc.
- In depth understanding of software configuration management (Chef) and release management
- Strong understanding of version control (git), branching & merging strategies.
- Excellent knowledge in code deployment version conflict resolution
- Understanding of Salesforce, Salesforce architecture and concepts
- Experience with Salesforce configuration such as managing users, profiles and permission sets.
- Prior experience in CI/CD deployment and/or DevOps on Salesforce using Flosum/Copado/GearSet, Change Set, ANT, Jenkins or other DevOps tools.
- Knowledge of Salesforce Platform Management and Service Cloud
- Knowledge with Integrating Salesforce with on premise legacy systems and other cloud solution
- Preferably 5+ years Deployment experience
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in deployment of Salesforce components using Flosum/Copado/GearSet or other DevOps tools.
- Implemented complex Salesforce DevOps pipeline for Salesforce releases with native Salesforce Tool (preferably Flosum).
- Comprehensive understanding of Salesforce.com architecture, Web Services and APIs.
- Experience in handling salesforce metadata/environment/sandbox management.
- Identifying and deploying Security measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management
- Excellent knowledge in code deployment version conflict resolution
- Experience in Content Management, Translations, and 3rd party AppExchange component deployments
- Should be able to communicate between different stakeholders to ensure key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes are followed
- Expertise with Salesforce PRM, Marketing Cloud and Service Cloud deployments
- Knowledge of Salesforce Platform Management, Marketing Cloud and Service Cloud health monitoring
- Mastery of advanced Git (e.g. conflict resolution, cherry-picking, rebasing), one or more popular CI/CD tools
- Should be able to manage three to four production releases every month
- Expertise with branching strategies, version control, pipeline automation and orchestration utilizing Flosum and related tools like Git
- Experience with Salesforce configuration such as managing users, profiles and permission sets
- Knowledge with Integrating Salesforce with on premise legacy systems and other cloud solution
- Experience with Agile Development
