Job description
Technical Expertise A strong Data Engineering technology background is required, including experience in Cloud Data engineering platforms and tools especially AWS Data engineering tools (AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Airflow (Amazon MWAA), Redshift), database design and software application design. Management skills include technical management capabilities. Requires between eight and 10 years of technology development experience with four or five years in software delivery technical management roles. This experience includes familiarity with software product development life cycles especially Agile.
Technical Skills: (1) Cloud DE tools – AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Airflow (Amazon MWAA) (2) Cloud Datawarehouse – Redshift (3) Cloud Storage - Redshift (4) AWS Cloud security, AWS CloudWatch, AWS IAM is desirable. BI & Visualization – Tableau is desirable. Responsibilities Data Engineering Solution Development and Delivery Provides technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration for client engagement from definition phase through implementation. Creates and executes development plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Applies significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to our clients. Reviews work of development team. Easily recognizes system deficiencies and implements effective solutions. Owns the development lifecycle and is responsible for managing technical risks throughout the project. Communicates and enforces coding standards. Performs code reviews and mentors’ junior developers. Manages technical resources within budget and project schedule. Reviews the status reports of team members and addresses issues as appropriate. Complies with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures.Job tags
