Job description
Position: Architect Cloud Ops
Location: India, Chennai preferred (Pune, Bangalore, Nagpur)
Type of Employment: Full time
Key Result Areas and Activities:
- Share and Build Expertise – Develop and share expertise in AWS and Python and actively mine the experience and expertise in the organization for sharing across teams and clients in the firm. Support the Cloud and Data Engineering COE initiatives.
- Nurture and Grow Talent – Provide support for recruitment, coaching and mentoring, and building practice capacity in the firm.
Work and Technical Experience:
- 6+ years of experience to Design, develop, and deploy Python-based applications and services on AWS infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements Architect and design scalable and reliable solutions.
- Strong expertise in leading AWS cloud service programs.
- Experience with cloud automation, orchestration, and configuration management tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation.
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance principles in cloud environments.
- Implement and manage data processing pipelines using Python libraries and AWS services such as AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, SNS, SQS and Athena.
- Implement and manage serverless applications using AWS Lambda and other serverless computing services.
- Implement and manage AWS storage services, including Amazon S3, Amazon EBS, and Amazon RDS.
- Strong in Python programming using standard python libraries and creating custom libraries to encapsulate reusable functionality, promote code reusability, and simplify development tasks.
- Use version control systems such as Git to manage codebase, track changes, and collaborate effectively with other team members.
- Prepare and deploy Python applications and software solutions to production environments and monitor performance and stability post-deployment.
- Document cloud architecture, configurations, and procedures, and provide training and guidance to internal teams on cloud-related topics and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Must Have:
- CloudFormation, Lambda, Airflow, Secret, SSM, SNS, IAM, and other fundamental services provided by AWS.
- Python programming
- DevOps - GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins
Good To Have
- Data engineering experience
Qualifications:
- Overall work experience of 10+ years with minimum of 6 years' experience on AWS cloud stack and Python programming
- Experience with cloud-native architectures, containers, and serverless computing.
- Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies
- Technical certifications that attribute to continuous learning aspirations
