Grocery will be your primary focus, working in the Sainsbury’s business unit with a specific focus on growing Waitrose and Lidl.

Key responsibilities for this role:

• Supporting the SNAM on Sainsbury’s.
• Full P&L management of Waitrose and Lidl.
• Considering the current and forecasted trade environment – looking also at customer and competitor strategies.
• Organising meeting agendas, briefings and relevant planning needed when meeting with customers.
• Having a deep understanding of your customer’s business needs and attending customer trade briefings.
• Utilising the Customer Market Team to deliver targeted activity and incremental sales for both the company and the account.
• Ensure all promotions are planned and reviewed to provide key learning to aid future strategic decisions.
• Anticipating and planning for risks and problems – analyse situations and use own commercial judgement.
• Conducting multi-level negotiations with trade customers relating to issue resolution – act as a facilitator between the company and their customers.

Enjoying what you’ve heard so far? This is what they need from you:

• 1-2 years’ experience on an FMCG Retailer account
• P&L experience is desirable but not essential
• Full UK driving licence
• Commercially sharp and ability to learn
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to demonstrate effective negotiation and influencing skills
• Ability to create excellent working relationships
• Have a growth mindset and be results-oriented
• Be ambitious and tenacious
