IT System Administrator
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT System Administrator to join the India team of most cutting-edge and well-funded storage start-up in Silicon Valley. The ideal candidate will be maintaining our network infrastructure and managing EDA server rack infrastructure. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical expertise and the ability to ensure the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. Location : Bangalore, KA. India Qualification and Skillset Requirements 5 or more years of proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role Very strong interpersonal skills, team collaboration and communications skills required Expert knowledge of OS user, group creation, administration, HMC administration Solid foundation with NFS client/server administration, SUDO configuration, LDAP client administration In depth familiarity with shell scripting (Bourne and Bourne relatives), automation programming (i.e., sed, awk, Perl, Python) Knowledge of FlexLM license files and licensing administration software Experience with Synopsys, Mentor, Xilinx, Cadence, Perforce software installation Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent Roles And Responsibilities Configure, manage, and fix Fortinet Firewalls and routers and switches from different vendors Troubleshoot complex network problems affecting LAN, WAN, Internet connections, and issues of end user services Design for disaster recovery operations and data backups Performing operating system maintenance and hardening, including OS installation, configuration, patching, and security configurations Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring Monitor datacenter health using pre-existing management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers as needed Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates, intranet and so on Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolve software and hardware related problems, update license files and maintain license software serverJob tags
