We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.
In this role, you will:
- Directly responsible for successful delivery of Technology initiatives. Initiative outputs may form part of a technology-based change programme, delivery of a technology-only programme, or may be standalone.
- Ensuring that Project Initiation is performed to quantify clear scope and to ensure the Project is aligned to Project Management principles and standards, Agile ways of working and effective implementation of the Scrum framework as agreed.
- Responsible for coordinating/leading end to end execution across all parties’/work streams, including 3rd party vendors in order to deliver the strategic aims of Telecoms and the organization, meeting the appropriate levels of quality through the project lifecycle.
- Works with Technology Platform Teams & Product Owner to drive continuous service improvements through backlog management, maturity in the use of Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) and corresponding management of dependencies.
- Responsible for the coaching and leadership that enable Agile delivery; including facilitating team meetings such as retrospectives, reviews and PI/Sprint planning events. Also identify and escalate, using sound judgment, significant challenges/impediments, and risks to key stakeholders. Contribute to managing and controlling risks and issues and assist in providing appropriate contingencies.
- Awareness and adherence to HSBC Group compliance policy. Keeping up to date with internal Bank process changes that impact the role. Also responsible to ensure commercial realization/benefits are tracked and met and that all Stakeholders are kept informed of progress and issues via standard reporting and escalation mechanisms.
- Responsibility for delivering IT Service Acceptance process as part of project delivery.
- Contribution to Management Information & Reporting as covered by HSBC guidelines and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders within IT, Global Businesses, Finance. Adopt a joined-up approach, to execute change at pace and with minimal conflict. Also use of Jira and confluence to support project delivery where applicable.
