Job description
1. Co-ordinate activities related to ship's:-
a) Machinery Performance
b) Supplies
c) Surveys & Inspections
d) Vessel attendance
e) Planned maintenance system (PMS)
2. Provide technical assistance/advice to ship staff and arrange for repair/replacement
3. Maintain data related to expenditures pertaining to ship related activities and budgetary requirement to the management
4. Responsible for effective closure of all observation raised during pre-inspection survey by clients/charterer or their nominated third party surveyors
5. Liaison closely with equipment manufacturers, classification societies, shipyards
6. Recommend/implement improvement, upgrade project to improve vessel efficiency and/or to comply with latest statutory requirements
7. Assess shipboard personnel's competency in their respective area of work
8. Responsible for pre-joining screening of senior ranks
9. Responsible as Superintendent for new building, dry docking and scrapping of old vessels
10. Arrange and facilitate class/Machinery surveys and maintain survey records
