Position Summary
Purpose: To manage the project logistics including Logistics Proposal Cost Estimate, Logistics Shipment Execution (Sea, road, Air mode), Customs Clearance, Port handling, and road transport from supplier locations (Domestic/globally) of various project sites within India and globally.
Nature and Scope: This position is primarily responsible for providing and assisting support for all Indian and global regions for Global opportunities in the Capital Projects (engineering, equipment, and materials) areas. As such, the incumbent will be responsible for managing various shipments (Local and global) being required for the execution of Capital projects.

A leader who has the ability and experience working in multi-location, multicultural international environments, and a proven track record of successfully delivering Logistics of EPC Projects.
Estimation and Execution:
- Candidate should have the ability to manage/coordinate with different departments (internally) and externally and bring desired results.
- Experience in conducting route surveys and arriving at the conclusion that maximum dimensions can be transported and preparing Project Logistics Strategy and Logistics Execution Plan.
- Coordination with the Estimation team (local/global) and preparing the Project Logistics Cost Estimate, identifying risks involved and strategies to mitigate them.
- Candidate should possess excellent skills of leadership as well as good command over ppt presentations to senior management. Client
- Candidate should be ready to travel/deploy to the project site with short notice anywhere in India/globally.
- Experience in planning and executing logistic activities for mid to large-size EPC projects.
- Complete & and sound Knowledge of customs activities like Advance License, EPCG, EOU, and Duty paid shipment clearance.
- Have experience managing Heavy Lifts/ODC shipments (sea/road transport) for large capital projects.
- The incumbent should also be aware of Global transportation (Air and Sea shipping) norms.
- Should be familiar with and have hands-on experience in exporting and Re-exporting shipments.
- Should have a robust knowledge of Global / Local CHA and Freight Forwarder agents, shipping liners, and experience in making contractual agreements with global Terms and Conditions. Communication and coordination with Suppliers/customers on the movement of shipment for pick-ups with ETA.
- Monitoring Shipment tracker with DSR and ensuring OTD from service providers.
- Monitoring Shipment cost calculation and cost-saving plans
- Follow up on Service provider’s bills and timely hand them over to finance for payment, ensuring the payment to the Service providers is released as per agreed contract T&Cs. Claims & Queries resolution.
Customs:
- ERP documentation on shipments exported, Duty calculation and duty request planning.
- Verifying the applicable HSN codes & and exemptions. Approving the checklist to file the Bill of Entry in Customs.
- Scrutinize the documents and file the advance documents in Indian Customs prior to the arrival of the shipment.
- Handing over the Exchange control Bill of Entry to Finance for the foreign remittance to the supplier.
- Maintaining the Exporter copy shipping bill with the document, Maintaining the report/record of shipping bills with export documents.
Safety:
- Follow all required safety norms and the candidate should excellently track record of safe deliveries.
- Ensure zero demurrage, negotiate transport contracts, and manage the contractor to ensure timely distribution at the right cost, with zero damage to goods.
- Adhere to all Insurance compliance related to dispatches.
Reports:
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reporting and keep all stakeholders updated at regular intervals.
- Timely SAP updating and tracking of orders/packages/reports.
- Candidate should have hands-on experience working in SAP software at least for 3-4 years.
- Updating the monthly export shipping details to stakeholders
III. Principal Accountabilities
To ensure the Project logistics deliverable within the budgeted cost and time leads specific Project Logistics Specialists team. The team maybe multi-locations, multi-cultural.
IV. Requirements
- Qualifications – An Engineering (Mech/Civil/Chemical) graduate with an MBA / Added qualification in Logistics Management/export/import / Supply Chain Management with relevant experience preferred.
- Experience
- 12-18years of experience (out of it at least 10 years in Global Logistics) in global Project Logistics estimation and operations of EPC Projects including Custom handling, local transportation (Heavy Lifts/ODC), import and export lesioning in an Industrial Gas Company or with an EPC company
- Preferable with working experience in Oil and gas Company / Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), Industrial Gases or Petrochemicals / Chemicals or Oil and gas Industries with capital incentive projects having project execution volumes of more than US$ 20MM (Logistics cost as a Single project)
- Working with a multinational company in a matrix setup will be an advantage.

These 2 positions are based in Vadodara India but will be required to travel within India and occasionally as business needs or projects dictate. Virtual meetings and working outside of own time zone are to be expected in this role.
