Digital News Editor position- ET Tech We are looking for a Digital News Editor for ETtech.com, the technology and startup news site of The Economic Times. ETtech, is a cross-media platform, which combines our print expertise with digital storytelling skills, powered by the ET reporters. We break news, do exclusive & original reporting, offer insights and analysis on the new economy, which is read by founders, investors and the most influential executives in the industry. As our News Editor you’ll be expected to Manage the overall content on the website, edit stories for clarity and quality, headline writing. Rewrite stories with a focus on digital audiences. Work with journalists to better present their stories online and on other social media platforms. Monitor website traffic, meet targets, work with SEO team, understand traffic analytics and newsletter open rates. Besides working with the ET editorial team, you will need to sync up with our product and graphics teams to better our storytelling. Need to be very quick in breaking news situations and push out real-time content on the fly. What you’ll need to have A keen interest in technology and startups and how it is intersecting with all aspects of our lives. 5-7 years of experience in running a website and managing social media and other digital channels in the content space.
