Job Summary:

The Marketplace E-commerce Leader is tasked with spearheading the strategic direction and growth of our online marketplace in India. This pivotal role focuses on crafting and executing marketplace strategies, enhancing seller relations, and improving customer experiences. A significant part of your responsibility will be to develop strong relationships with marketplace leaders and SPOCs to ensure a seamless, productive partnership and to cultivate a thriving online community. Your efforts will directly impact our marketplace's performance, brand performance and rating and SLA performances in marketplace platforms.

Key Responsibilities: Design and implement strategic plans to expand the marketplace, focusing on partnerships, and brand engagement, positioning in the marketplace platforms Strong understanding of inventory planning and catalogue ops , promotion planning and liquidation in marketplace Establish and maintain robust relationships with marketplace leaders, SPOCs, and key sellers to ensure their needs are met and to encourage their growth on the platform. Conduct comprehensive market analysis to stay ahead of industry trends, identify new opportunities for strategic partnerships, and understand competitive threats. Work closely with the marketing team to leverage insights from seller and customer feedback, driving targeted promotional campaigns and personalized seller support initiatives. Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance the marketplace platform's user experience for both sellers and customers, ensuring a seamless, intuitive, and engaging environment. Develop metrics and benchmarks to evaluate the success of marketplace strategies and relationships, adjusting plans as necessary to meet evolving market demands. Facilitate regular communication forums with sellers and internal stakeholders to gather insights, share strategic updates, and foster a collaborative community. Advocate for Brand success within the organization, ensuring that their feedback and needs guide decision-making processes and platform enhancements and operations.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent is preferred. At least 10-12 years of experience in e-commerce marketplace management, with a significant focus on strategy development and partner relations. Proven track record of building and maintaining strong professional relationships with a variety of stakeholders. Deep understanding of the e-commerce ecosystem in India/International, including consumer behaviour, digital marketing trends, and regulatory considerations. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with sellers, partners, and team members across all levels of the organization. Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a commitment to driving team growth, fostering innovation, and encouraging a culture of excellence and accountability.
