Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Tower Internals Technician to join our wind energy team. As a Tower Internals Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of internal components within wind turbine towers, ensuring the continued and reliable operation of our wind energy facilities.
Responsibilities: - Internal Component Inspection:
- Perform regular inspections of internal components within wind turbine towers, including but not limited to, ladder systems, service platforms, and safety mechanisms.
- Identify and document any signs of wear, damage, or malfunction.
- Maintenance and Repairs:
- Execute preventive maintenance tasks on tower internals to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Conduct repairs and replacements of components, including bolts, safety latches, and access doors.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with external contractors and internal teams to coordinate scheduled maintenance activities and inspections.
- Collaborate with other technicians to address interdisciplinary issues affecting tower internals.
- Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks within the tower.
- Participate in safety training programs and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Generate detailed reports on the condition of tower internals.
- Emergency Response:
- Be part of the emergency response team to address urgent maintenance or repair needs within the wind turbine tower.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in maintenance and inspection of tower internals, preferably within the wind energy or related industry.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to working within wind turbine towers.
- Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
