IT Senior Service Delivery Lead -
The IT Senior Service Delivery Lead is responsible for managing Release Management function for Salesforce and related cloud services. This includes defining the way releases are handled, ensuring that all functionality is delivered smoothly and efficiently to the business users. This position will require strong facilitation and leadership of cross-functional teams as well as managing vendor teams.
This candidate will be responsible for guiding best practices around Salesforce environment management while executing a release strategy. Execute the deployment of configuration including metadata, record data, and manual configurations throughout Salesforce landscape. Manage and optimize the release process, Salesforce deployment tools, and sandbox strategies.

What you will do:
- Develop, audit, monitor, and enforce established release management processes and policies in support of Salesforce deployments for multiple orgs.
- Perform and facilitate the promotion and deployment for the Salesforce application using a variety of metadata.
- Manage release schedules and milestones throughout initiatives across all Salesforce development and support teams.
- Manage releases according to the organization standards and adhere to timelines. Ensure appropriate resources are available and communicate deployment status as necessary.
- Manage release communication to stakeholders ensuring clear visibility and accountability for releases, to include release readiness reviews, milestones, go/no-go decisions.
- Assist with cross-project planning to oversee dependencies and solve conflicts. Identify risks during code conflict, merging and make sure to deploy quality code in production.
- Own and maintain version control repositories and CI/CD pipelines on Bitbucket and Azure DevOps. Should possess good knowledge on GIT commands, Workbench, ANT and Change set deployments.
- Define and enforce Salesforce sandbox management practices, to include periodic refreshes. Know how to package and deploy metadata components, knowledge on release branching strategies, code merging and conflict resolution strategies.
- Provide support to Salesforce release management resources in a timely and efficient manner. Act as a leader to support, train other team members if they are facing any issues in the deployment of their releases/project streams.
- Stay attuned to new features and capabilities available within upcoming Salesforce Platform releases. Research new platform releases, plans for and performs the upgrades in timely manner.
- Evolve use of the Salesforce Platform to ensure it is reliable, efficient and cost effective. Explore automation capabilities with the Salesforce Continuous Delivery tools.
- Drive a process of meaningful continuous improvement. Identify, prioritize and track opportunities for optimization, and support a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Provide leadership, control and take responsibility for the given area and manage and coordinate the deployment process. Should be able to manage three to four production releases every month.
- Must be efficient enough to work on application life cycle management solutions like Service Now.
- Must have key process skills such as SDLC, Agile and Waterfall structured thinking, flexible problem solving, evaluation, and diagnosis.
- Must have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into simple, actionable plans.
What you will need:
- 7+ years of experience in Salesforce administration, development, release management or DevOps.
- 3+ years as a Salesforce Release Manager in an enterprise-level environment.
- Demonstrated strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and functionality.
- Experience on Salesforce metadata such as custom object, fields,Object Relationships, Apexclasses, workflow Rule, Process Builder, Validation Rule, Sharing Rule, Data security, Approval Process, Pagelayout, Record Types, Data import export wizard, Data Loader etc.
- Experience with deploying metadata, deploying referential record data with tools such as data loaders, and leveraging release management tools for Salesforce.
- Experience of working closely with Service Delivery teams and project teams to manage shifting schedules. Must be able to articulate and manage tasks, dependencies, task durations and risks in a timely manner.
- Experience with CI/CD Tools, GIT source control, VS code IDEs, branching and merging strategies/resolving conflicts.
- Experience in the use of DevOps tools such as AutoRABIT, Copado, Flosum and Visual Studio Release Management.
- Experience using and following SDLC Methodology - Waterfall / Agile / Scrum.
- Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization. High level of integrity. Strong problem solving, decision making and organizational skills. Critical analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
