Key Responsibilities - Conducting comprehensive eye examinations
- Diagnosing visual problems and eye diseases
- Prescribing eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids
- Managing and treating conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and dry eyes
- Performing specialized tests to determine the health of the eyes
- Providing pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries
- Advising patients on proper eye care techniques and preventive measures
- Collaborating with ophthalmologists for advanced care and referral
- Keeping accurate and updated patient records
- Participating in educational and outreach programs

Required Qualifications - Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution
