We uncover critical information that our clients need to make important decisions before relationships, during disputes and after frauds. Our Mumbai office is a critical pillar within our global business. We are located in Bandra, on K L Linking Road. About the role The Mintz Group is seeking inquisitive, detail-oriented and highly motivated Researchers for its office in Mumbai. As an Researcher, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research on companies and individuals across the world to help clients uncover legal, regulatory and reputational risks. You will join a team of bright, curious and collaborative Researchers who speak more than 30 languages in our offices across the world. Responsibilities Conduct due diligence research on people and companies around the world to assist clients in hiring and investment decisions Dig into public records and data repositories, from complex litigation records and SEC filings to corporate records and regulatory actions Analyze and distill findings into comprehensive written reports for clients Brief case managers and partners on findings in a clear and professional manner Conduct other types of investigations, such as research to support litigators and compliance professionals. Required Experience & Qualification Undergraduate degree from an accredited university; advanced degree a plus 0 - 3 years prior work / internship experience in research, journalism, law or finance Experience with public records databases – for example, Westlaw, Nexis or Accurint – and open source research. Desired Skills Working proficiency in another language Ability to analyze, summarize and communicate large amounts of complex information in a concise and compelling manner Strong and creative research skills Strong writing skills and superior attention to detail Ability to juggle casework and meet strict, often overlapping, deadlines Sophisticated knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel) English fluency and strong writing skills in English mandatory.
