About this role:
This role is based in our Mumbai office and you will be a key member of our wider Studio hba team. The portfolio across India and South East Asia includes projects for major hotel operators and developers.
Job Summary:
As the Studio Manager, you will have strong experience in project management, resource planning in architectural / interior design industry in order to lead and oversee the team resource planning and project operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Overall operation management for projects of Studio hba India and teams in South East Asia.
- Responsible for creating comprehensive project plans, budgeting for hours, phase wise deliverables, staffing etc.
- Coordination with the other PMs/ Directors (both in the studio and as needed across the firm) to discuss timelines and delivery.
- Ensure projects being delivered by the studio are of the highest quality, in accordance with the design intent.
- Managing overall project budgets, ensuring financial goals are met.
- Monitor project expenses and identify areas for cost savings.
- Manage staffing for all Studio projects such that employees are fully utilized and projects achieve desired multipliers with increased efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategies for optimizing resource utilization.
- Communication and stakeholder Management
- Assessing potential risks and developing contingency plans mitigate those risks.
Operations:
- Operating as a staff lead to and responsible for reviewing timesheets, expense reports and performance,
- Collaborating with finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and invoicing and make sure that fees are collected on time.
- Maintaining accurate project documentation, e.g. project reports, client communication, change orders etc. for future records.
- Oversee current project budgets, contracts, proposals.

Below are the minimum qualifications that we expect from you:
- Based in Mumbai or happy to relocate.
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Architecture/ Interior Design.
- 10+ years of experience in architecture / interior design with a focus in architectural / interior project management, operation and resource planning
- Knowledge of P&L and accounting
- Experience in contract management
- Fluent in English
