Job description
Purpose of Position:
- NPD (New Product Development: Responsible for Apply system engineering principles and techniques, from concept to finalize Product designs working with Product development and Product Management teams. Plan and Lead system level Builds for evaluation using appropriate engineering techniques with minimal guidance and collaboration with Cross functional teams.
- Sustenance: Coordinate for Bill of Material Creation and verification. Coordinate for Documentation activities of Product manuals and End of Line docs. Technical support to operations team on internal issue resolutions
Key Responsibilities: - Leads projects to meet cost quality and schedule targets.
- Builds system level prototypes to validate designs.
- Coordinate and resolve CFT feed back on Engg Builds.
- Develops product level technical specifications, FMEAs, and test plans based on customer needs, field data, and reliability requirements.
- Integrates and packages mechanical systems, electronic systems, and hydraulic systems understanding interactions and dependencies.
- Communicate the order configurator and colour scheme to sub system owners for initiation of BOM (Bill of Materials).
- Clarification if any regarding configurator, any feature with customer service and Product Management for internal queries and resolutions.
- System level BOM verification before release of BOM in the System
- Engineering support and co- ordination for line issues if any for production orders.
- System level DFMEA current and state review with CFT plan
- Technical documents (service, installation, owner manuals) information and current status, coordinate to update and support to release with Tech pub team.
- Updating of End of line test spec for premium feature based on builds
- Current state of field and internal issues list and resolution plan
- Performs Engineering. Change management activities using windchill and SAP.

Total Experience in years: 5-7 Yrs
Graduation/ Degree: Be mechanical
Background and Skills: The ideal candidate will have
Preferred Domain (Preferred Industry) – Home Appliances, Automotive, Peripherals industry
Skills required (in detail) :
- Experience launching new products working with manufacturing and suppliers is a must.
- Integration and/or design of complex Electro-Mechanical systems is a plus
- Must possess experience with a Stage gate, Tollgate, or Milestone development process
- Knowledge in tolerance analysis and statistical tools is must.
- Must possess strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Must possess experience in Engineering Project Management and cross functional team coordination.
- DFMEA and Lean process understanding.
- Knowledge of Sheet Metal components. Stamping and bending process, plastic injection Molds.
- Sound knowledge in engineering principles, theory and practice.
- Knowledge of GD&T Tolerance Stack up
- Knowledge of Windchill and SAP Preferred.
