Global Application Technology (GApT) enables growth for SABIC Specialties business unit through new application development
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and execute the predictive engineering projects for global automotive industry customers using Pre post processing CAE tools such as Hyperworks and any one of the CAE analysis tools such as Abaqus/LS DYNA/Moldflow and related technologies.
Deliver technical solutions to customer applications by applying the knowledge of design, thermoplastic material, tooling, molding process and extensive use of CAE to evaluate multiple designs and optimise to meet the overall objective.
Troubleshooting of customer problems to find root cause and develop approaches to solve them through simulations enabling optimum solution and issue resolution within boundary of problem
Planning of projects, working closely with global sales and marketing team. Interface seamlessly with global customers ensuring on timely execution of program deliverables.
Communicate proactively to all team members, business stakeholders, etc. and have mitigation plans/risk management strategy. Exploring innovative design options to meet application requirements with engineering thermoplastics/composites, using multi-disciplinary inputs to synthesize them into a solution.
To develop design methodology, material models validation for thermoplastic materials using CAE tools for all types of technical problems such as mold filling, static, dynamic, impact, fatigue and creep
Develop and guide material characterization and validation methodology for engineering thermoplastic materials
Experimental validation of simulation results and fine tune the predictive models for better prediction and closely match with reality
Activities related to organizational initiatives EHS requirements
