Job description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1. Working on Packaging & Logistics SBC (Should be costing) for all the sectors.
2. Working on Packaging optimization & Logistics utilization/optimization by using tools such as VAVE
3. Coordinating with CDMM for technical aspect for improvising Packaging concept to achieve cost optimized solution.
4. Mapping Logistics value chain and selecting proper Logistics vehicles for cost avoidance.
5. Extensive usage of Packaging software for achieving cost optimized solution.
6. Overall cost competency build up by data base and cost matrix creation.
7. On time release of SBC to SSU for meeting target timeline for VOB
8. Discussion with SSU for ironing out process.
9. Release of MIS periodically.
10. Visit to Mahindra Plants for identifying cost saving opportunities in existing Parts.
11. Process improvements through Preparation of SOP Guidelines, standardization of cost templates

Bachelor of Engineering in Packaging 

General Experience

2-5 yrs experience, 2+ years in Packaging Dev/Sourcing /Logistics

Critical Experience

• Should have technical knowledge about various Packaging material Like Corrugated box, PP box, Returnable Packaging, Fixtures etc.
• Identification of Packaging & Logistics cost saving/avoidance opportunities and delivering with final implementation.
• Hands on usage of Packaging & Logistics optimization software.
• Logistics Knowledge like Value chain mapping, Calculation of carbon footprint.
