MIIPL is a telecom-based software company, established in 2006, working on Satellite 3G technologies for clients who are major Internet through satellite service providers.
MIIPL is specialized in Inmarsat BGAN (Broadband Global Area Network), GX (Global Express), Thuraya M2M, and Iridium Satellite network systems.
MIIPL provides critical software like AAA servers, Firewalls, Network Monitoring, and testing tools to the distribution partners and service providers of the internet through satellite.
MIIPL works with its development partners to provide design consultancies, software and hardware solutions, and 24x7 support & maintenance for Satellite ISPs.
Job Purpose
To design, develop and maintain MIL's POP mission-critical systems providing terrestrial internet gateway for satellite networks. Sr Systems Developer will be a part of the highly skilled development team and will be developing interesting and challenging functionalities in POP. The candidate will be working closely with Web development, DevOps, and QA teams developing and delivering features/functionalities.
Key Responsibilities
Requirement Analysis, Task Break down and Level of Effort estimation
Design and Develop prototypes and prepare simulation environment
Design and develop platform-independent code
Develop tools to monitor the status and health of mission-critical systems and applications
Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Support of feature upgrades of existing software services
Code refactoring and enhancing already available modules.
Develop new features and/or changes in existing functionality
Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Optimize monitoring applications regarding the performance issues
Documentation
Other responsibilities include,
Knowledge transfer to team members
Training team members on specific technologies
Learn new technologies and train the team
Technical guidance to other team members
Skills and Knowledge
Must be flexible, pragmatic, and able to grasp new requirements, features, technologies quickly
The high degree of accuracy and attention to details
Significant hands-on experience Core Java, MySQL, Web Services APIs, Hazelcast, Hibernate, Spring
Good experience with Linux (RedHat or CentOS)
Ability to write effective and scalable code
Collaborate with other team members whenever required
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Skilled in negotiation and influencing others.
