Accurate Background seeks an experienced and innovative Senior Cloud Operations Engineer to lead our efforts in maintaining, optimizing, and scaling our mission-critical systems. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving the reliability, performance, and efficiency of our cloud infrastructure. Your expertise will guide the development and implementation of advanced automation, monitoring, and system optimization strategies. As a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer, you will mentor junior team members, lead incident response initiatives, and contribute to strategic planning.
Job Duties: - Advanced System Monitoring and Proactive Maintenance:
- Lead initiatives to enhance system monitoring and alerting capabilities using advanced tools and custom solutions.
- Design and implement proactive maintenance strategies to prevent incidents and ensure system resilience.
- Complex Automation and Orchestration:
- Architect and develop sophisticated automation frameworks to manage complex workflows and processes.
- Utilize cutting-edge technology to automate cloud operations, reducing manual intervention and improving efficiency.
- Infrastructure Strategy and Scalability:
- Spearhead infrastructure optimization projects to support scalability, high availability, and cost efficiency.
- Lead capacity planning, resource allocation, and performance-tuning efforts to meet business growth and demand.
- Strategic Incident Response and Mitigation:
- Direct and improve the incident response framework, ensuring swift resolution and minimal business impact.
- Conduct in-depth post-incident analyses to identify root causes and implement long-term preventative strategies.
- Technical Leadership and Mentorship:
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior CloudOps engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Lead by example in adopting new technologies and best practices in cloud operations.
- Advanced Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
- Develop comprehensive documentation for system architecture, configurations, and best practices.
- Champion knowledge-sharing sessions and workshops to elevate team expertise and cohesion.
Required Qualifications - Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in cloud operations, with a proven track record of managing large-scale, complex cloud environments.
- Expertise in AWS, Azure, and other cloud platforms, with relevant certifications highly preferred.
- Knowledge and Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, networking protocols, and shell scripting.
- Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Expertise in automation and scripting languages (Python, Bash) and in implementing CI/CD pipelines.
- Deep understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Dynatrace).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication abilities and leadership qualities.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with advanced configuration management tools (Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Chef).
- Mastery in developing and managing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
- Experience in a lead role.
