Job description
We are looking to have a HR Coordinator join our HR team at ValGenesis India. You will play a critical role in supporting the seamless functioning of the HR team in India. Your primary responsibility will be to execute HR operational activities to ensure the smooth flow of processes that support the overall employee lifecycle. You will be a key contributor to the efficiency and effectiveness of our HR operations.
Responsibilities - Act as the initial HR point of contact for ValGenesis India employees, answering employee requests and questions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in our HR system (HiBob).
- Administering various employee benefits programs, such as group insurance, employee provident fund, and employee state insurance.
- Serve as the onboarding point of contact for new hires and support new employees' transition into ValGenesis.
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives, contributing to the continuous improvement of HR processes.
- Act as the initial point of contact for employee questions and matters related to benefits, leaves of absence, and time off.
- Assist with ISO, ISMS, SOC 2, and customer audits related to HR standard operating procedures, providing evidence and follow-up
- Assist with employee relations issues, ensuring that issues raised are investigated in a sensitive and timely manner.
- Own background checks for new hires, which include correspondence with applicants to request any necessary documentation and evaluating checks upon completion.
- Assist with the creation, documentation, and implementation of human resources policies, programs, and processes.
- Develop strong working relationships with all HR functions to provide seamless support and guidance to the business.
- Provide a schedule of tasks or activities to carry out the employee engagement initiatives.
- Stay current with the newest trends and best practices in HR.
- Provide all new hires with HR orientation programs, and make sure the materials are up to date.
- Organize training courses and seminars that are held both internally and externally.
Requirements - 3+ years of experience within Human Resources, preferred.
- A bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources or a related field, is preferred.
- Business fluent in English, strong communication skills with the ability to interact with employees at all levels in the organization.
- Comfortable working across multiple time zones with team members based around the globe
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with quality-related procedures and audits (ISO, ISMS, SOC 2), considered an asset.
- Must be resourceful and intuitive when information is not readily available (know where to go to seek answers or get to the next step by considering previous learnings).
- Prior experience with HRIS systems/databases
- Ability to interact with highly confidential data with sensitivity, professionalism, and integrity.
- Ability to think creatively to solve problems and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Previous experience with leveraging data to inform and influence decisions.
- Outstanding customer service and problem-solving skills with a keen awareness of when to escalate topics requiring additional support
- Strong project management skills with impeccable attention to detail
- You take full accountability and are comfortable adjusting to shifting priorities while meeting deadlines.
