Job Description
Tasks and Responsibilities (not exhaustive) The Engineer Shall On Own Initiative: - Pursue professional development within own discipline/area,
- Report deviations, suggest improvements to the company QM system
- Proactively work to continuously improve the company and its operations by LL initiatives.
- General technical assignments as requested by the project management
- Design, drawing and model review
- Budget analysis, Resource Deployment, Resource management
- Development of specifications and other engineering documentation,
- Interface with subcontractors, suppliers, vendors,
- General tasks related to procurement support, documentation, reporting, etc.
- Training and experience transfer of other less experienced engineering personnel.
- Technical Requisition (owner)
- Equipment Datasheet for Inquiry and Purchase Order (owner)
- Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) (owner)
- originate, drive resolution, and coordinate the clarification logs with Bidders – Technical Deviations and
Clarifications (TD&C) – one per Bidder. (owner)
- Prepare a documented Recommendation for Award (RfA) based on TBE and TD&C's (owner)
- Supplier deliverables - for each of them: review, collect and check other disciplines' comments, prepare mark-up, decide, and stamp the status code on the document; fill in and file relevant check lists as applicable.
- Critically analyze comments received from Client and advise the project team regarding potential extra-contractual requirements or scope variations.
- Drive and coordinate closure of punch lists.
Reporting and Communication The Engineer Shall On Own Initiative: - Reporting in project to the Lead Engineer / Engineering Manager and Project Manager.
- Report any non-compliance with HSEQ requirements to the Team Manager.
- Interact with the Engineer Manager regarding technical and project related challenges.
Methods of Work - Ensure that relevant working methods are followed
- Perform tasks in such a way as to reduce environment and health risks
- Ensure tasks performed are to a high quality, be involved in and suggest improvements where they may be needed
- Participate in the evaluation of working methods and conditions thereby minimize the risk for workplace and environmental incidents and thereby minimize the risk for quality issues
- Ensure processes are performed in compliance with internal and external requirements, defined and documented, continually measured, evaluated, improved and secured
- Be proactive and Manage schedules and work to tight deadlines
Subordinates, peers and leadership. - Actively participate in the appraisal process, ensuring objectives are entered into the system and are reviewed on time as required
- Work closely with peers to reach the common and shared goals for NOV
FACILITY SPECIFIC RESPONSIBLITIES: - Preparation of Mechanical Datasheets, Material Requisition, Technical Bid Evaluation, Feasibility Evaluation, Mechanical Equipment Design and drawings,
- Input sketches for drafts man/ 3D modeling designer and datasheet
- Detail Engineering knowledge of Vessels internals
- Detail Engineering, Analysis and calculations,
- Development of specifications and other engineering documentation,
- Interface with subcontractors, suppliers, Vendor Management
BEHAVIORAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - Communication, people management, analytical and coordination skills.
- Engineer shall have good interface knowledge with other disciplines especially Process, Piping, Electrical & Instrumentation etc. and knowledge of all discipline documents and drawings is required.
- Good Knowledge of International Mechanical Codes and Standards like ASME SEC.VIII DIV.1 / DIV.2, TEMA, PD5500, API:650, API:660, API:661, ASME, API etc. applicable to Rotary Equipment.
- Review designs & plans, layouts, working drawings and managing resources to ensure execution of projects within time and budgeted parameters.
- Monitor closely the fast-track projects and meet the project deadline on time.
- Deftness in swiftly ramping projects in coordination with clients, consultants & contractors.
- Allocating tasks to Team Lead & Technical Expert on abroad site for technical support if required.
- Evaluating Equipment design progress & development
- Exposure in Equipment design calculation and FEA
- Proven technical experience in Static Equipment Engineering with extensive skills using essential pressure vessel design softwares such as Pv-Elite, Compress, TANK, etc
- Exposure in Layout development and Skid based designs.
- Equipment handled should cover material of construction of CS, LTCS, SS, CS+Clad, LAS, HAS, NACE MR0175, HIC and etc. for applications with temperature ranging from hot service to cryogenic with special services like Hydrogen, Lethal, WetSour, Cyclic, Sea Water and etc.
