Job description
Implement day to day tasks relevant to engineering IT solutions in the context of System Lifecycle Management (SLM) /Engineering Eco-System for FMC’s global product organization to support the digital transformation towards Product Digital Twin and Digital Thread based on industry-best-practice technologies. Define, research, architect, build and maintain/operate digital solutions in a cross functional team for a set of engineering capabilities. Be able to install, perform changes to software configuration and make them available to test, demo, validation and production systems. Main area of work will be the with PTC products Windchill, ThingWorx, Modeler and interfaces to other systems and CAD tools.
Your Task: Install/Upgrade/Rehost/Clone of Windchill/ThingWorx & interfacing software including CAD tools (Solid Works, Creo, AutoCAD Inventor, etc.) and other intermediate software adapters Maintain in detail technical understanding of the IT solutions implemented Create builds, plan and execute technical deployments to non-production and production environments within our cloud infrastructure Perform root cause analysis in case of malfunctions or reduction of system performance an initiate problem resolution Support in testing of the solution implemented prior to deployments Collaborate with external partners as relevant for successful solution development & Implementation Collaborate with suppliers of the IT solution as part of solution implementation activities or problem analysis Coordinate necessary operation activities to achieve a high performance and availability of the solutions implemented. Collaborate with external partners where required. Participate in risk assessments for required activities like Computer System Validation Support in research and demonstration of possible solutions to management Contribute to planning of releases involving business and technical needs and manage their realization from operational perspective Adopt modern Devops principles and ensure high degree of automation and efficiency of technical deployment of related SLM/PLM/engineering systems Your Background: 3+ years of related professional experience in supporting Windchill and ThingWorx applications Hands on experience with system administration tasks for Windchill, ThingWorx, and CAD tools Robust knowledge applying agile development methods, Devops, CI/CD incl. tools like Azure DevOps Expertise on running applications in cloud environments with high degree of automation ensuring highest levels of availability, security and integrity of data managed Good analytical and problem-solving skills Digital technology, IoT, IT savviness demonstrated in multiple projects Ability to work independently and as team player Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management through diplomacy and tact. Excellent oral and written communication skills (English + German).
