Responsibilities TRC is hiring a Distribution Designer and this position will be working within our Power Distribution Engineering team and a part of our growing Power Sector.
Overview of Duties
Perform detailed design of overhead and/or underground electric distribution systems. This work includes the preparation of field notes, drawings, specifications, and design estimates. Possess an analytical competence to interact with variety of individuals including engineers and experienced distribution system designers.
- Acquire a working knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), national engineering standards, utility constructions standards, and best industry engineering practices.
- Acquire broad knowledge of engineering disciplines, including design and constructability as applied to construction methods and materials, and the economics involved
- Maintains production and quality of projects, including field data, photographs, engineering analysis, reports, various departmental reports and databases; including file management of all documents and records as instructed by departmental guidelines
- Preparation and modification of electrical and roadway drawings, specifications, calculations, charts - graphs, and construction drawing packages

Overview The Technical Product owner is a critical job function in TRC's India Innovation Center supporting a mobile field application and back office solutioning platform.
The Technical Product Owner is responsible for communicating the product vision to the team and the overall product features from concept to delivery. The technical product owner uses their technical knowledge to bridge the gap between product development and feature design. They bring life to a product through the implementation of the vision and direction set forth in the product road-map. The Technical Product Owner is responsible for developing and maintaining the backlog of epics, features and stories. The Technical Product Owner partners with product strategy, architects, and development teams to ensure that business, quality and functional goals are met with each product release.
The Technical Product Owner is responsible for the design, usability, quality and delivery of a product or feature. They are a key decision maker on priorities and design decisions, and work to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned at each stage of the development life-cycle. The Technical Product Owner understands both the engineering and business side of the product release and is ultimately responsible for representing the end user's needs.
Responsibilities - To be successful, the technical product manager, needs to have technical acumen and experience along with a desire for creating simple solutions for product users
- Support and articulate the definition of the product vision, strategy and direction of product investment as it relates to how internal development teams BUILD their products
- Able to understand and represent the customer and end user's needs and translate into functional features and requirements
- In the absence of customer driven requirements, the ability to create features based on industry and product experience
- Define and document requirements for both consumer facing and developer based platform products
- Ensure product key milestones align to the product direction
- Translate the product road-map into epics, features and user stories
- Communicate product and platform trade-offs to leadership stakeholders and teams to facilitate decision-making
- Take ownership of the product backlog maintenance and prioritization with competing priorities
- Create and collaborate on feature overviews, detailed designs, documentation and prototypes, using Agile methodologies
- Organize and facilitate requirement gathering sessions across multiple teams
- Able to build strong relationships and influence internal and external partners
- Maintain continued awareness of new technology
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree would be an added advantage
- Total experience of 5-9 years within a large IT organization, preferably in a product-based environment
- 3+ years of experience in documenting software requirements
- Strong business acumen and external / internal partnership skills
- 1+ years of experience working in the utility industry & consulting is preferred
- Preferred 2+ years Agile, Scrum or Kanban experience
