Requirements

Job Profile

1)Develop and drive the marketing plan for the business unit. Determine market segmentation, customer values, purchase behavior and positioning. Develop Southco Value proposition, product and service offerings, communication, channel, and pricing plans in concert with Product Marketing, MarCom and the SBU. Own implementation of local actions arising from the marketing plan around these areas.

2) Plan, initiate and accomplish market research to determine trends, industry needs, customer preferences, industry brand awareness, product development and ultimately, the launch of new products. Share information within the business unit and the matrix as appropriate.

3) Collaborate with sales force to design strategies for developing the business unit sales and team; including training, performance incentives, goal setting, distribution issues, etc. Support SBU distribution partners to develop effective campaigns and product initiatives. Identify attractive local Indian market lead generation and market opportunities.

4) Develop and maintain technical awareness of a) Southco products and capabilities from application to operations, b) Competitive products, business trends and capabilities, c) Changes in policies, procedures and product offerings. Maintain professional alliances through associations, education, trade shows and media.

5) Support the Southco India business in generating leads and qualifying the leads and support KAMS and distribution. Keep track of leads generated.

6) Develop and implement local communications programmers to support the achievement of sales and business unit goals and support execution of Corporate/Global promotional and marketing programs for the business unit. Perform proofreading activities to support communication in local language.

7)Manage the customer/application knowledge base for the business, including applications, profiles, photos, etc. Collaborate with the Web Development Team on web site content.
