Job description
• Monitoring and coordinating activities including patent filing in connection with patent attorneys and offices
• Interacting with researchers to identify new technologies in all areas of Engineering and to assess their commercial potential and suitability for patent or copyright protection
• Contract negotiations with companies relating to collaborations, technology transfer agreements and licenses, monitor and manage the execution of these contracts (fees, royalties, redistributions)
• Identifying commercial strategies for transferring technologies to industry, including commercialization through translational funding or through spin-out ventures
• Prepare business cases or plans, facilitate the creation of technology prototypes or demonstration projects, and prepare funding proposals to various government programs that support commercialization of new technology.
Skills Required : Solid verbal, written communication, interpersonal skills• Proven Experience in the field of technology transfer in academia or in a related function in industry
• Interest in the promotion of scientific research, contact with companies, commercial aspects related to technology transfer and intellectual property
• Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
• Ablility to support others, working as part of a team
• High energy level
