Job description
This role is for a Lead QA Engineer to join our engineering team. You will be part of a team delivering desktop and web-based solutions to our customers using agile development methodologies.
Continuous Integration is key to our software delivery strategy and you will be using existing skills to build and enhance smoke and regression testing suites to ensure we cover the applications with automated tests and embed these into our existing and new CI / CD pipelines. You will ensure that the software delivered is of the highest quality, leading by example and promoting the use of continuous and automated testing. You will share your knowledge and experience across the testing team. Key Responsibilities : Improving code coverage through automated tests Learn and develop strong product knowledge and understanding of business rules Maintain and improve quality of the solutions delivered by the team Report defects and enhancements within the centralised defect management system using the agreed templates Assist team to resolve software defects Participate in inceptions, sprint planning, stand ups and retrospectives Triage, Analysis and Prioritisation of the support backlog ensuring that KPI targets are met Experience : Experience in creating automated tests within a Continuous Integration environment (Azure DevOps) Knowledge fundamentals of C# (or other object-oriented languages), HTML, CSS and JavaScript Experience with Blazor applications would be beneficial Experience with Specflow Experience writing unit and integration tests Experience with cloud-based testing labs such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs Experience working in an Agile software development environment Experience testing REST APIs Good understanding of DevOps practices, including working with build pipelines Good understanding of cloud-based architecture Working knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio Working knowledge of SQL and debugging software for diagnostic purposes Working knowledge of Microsoft’s Reporting Services (SSRS)Job tags
