Job description

What are we looking for: -

We're looking for a Business Analyst Manager to help improve our customers holiday experience. At Jet2 we're flying around 14 million passengers this year, that's a lot of the nation, and we want everybody to enjoy that time as much as they can. We are also growing the business and increasing the size of our network and we know we can do more for our customers. We understand digital is at the heart of every experience within our lives today and we embrace that so we can maximize our customers enjoyment when holidaying with us.

Customers trust us and spend their hard-earned money with us for some of the most important weeks of their year, creating memories that will last a lifetime. That's important and we must get it right. To do this we need to make it easy to search and book, deliver our schedule on time and safely, and create holiday experiences while always ensuring our customers have peace of mind that Jet2 is always with them to help. To do that it takes an army, powered by digital tools to make it happen. We need to deliver great digital experiences for our customers, but we also need to provide those experiences to our colleagues and suppliers to help create and facilitate the Jet2 experience.

To make all this happen we have a vast estate of digital products, data and processes. As the Business Analyst Manager, you'll be responsible for a business analysis team, managing a team of Business Analysts and ensuring we deliver the correct solutions that align to the Digital Product teams expected outcomes. You will be a fundamental part of the wider Business Analysis leadership team, and responsible for mentoring, resourcing, and coaching your team of Business Analysts. You'll help implement Jet2's Product Strategy alongside managing a team that deliver for our customers, colleagues and supply chain, alongside delivering the operational and financial targets of the business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • You will lead a team of Business Analysts within the Digital Product organisation
  • You will support the Principal Business Analyst Manager in setting standards and frameworks to deliver best in class business analysis.
  • Provide advice, coaching and support to Business Analysts across our teams.
  • Be responsible for the continual development of our Business Analysis function by keeping up to date on the latest business analysis trends and techniques.
  • Take the lead in business analysis activity, supporting all phases of delivery from scope definition and planning through to implementation

To Do This You Will

  • Work hand in hand with many different internal departments to understand the needs of the business and build a business analysis practice that can deliver for these needs.
  • Work closely with counterparts in digital product management, design, and software engineering to align business analysts into teams to deliver against the all the portfolios objectives
  • Coach your teams to deliver the best solutions that solve our business problems and deliver growth for the organisation.
  • Keep everyone who needs to know in the know, whether that's defining objectives, prioritising and agreeing roadmaps or keeping people informed of releases and recent successes (or failures)

What You Will Need

  • Experience of working within Agile development teams working with Development, Testers, Data Science, and Product Management Teams.
  • Experience of managing and coaching business analysts.
  • A track record of shipping great products that users love.
  • A good understanding of working closely with Digital Product, UX design, data and software engineering teams.
  • Strong record of working with the business to deliver commercial objectives through digital products.
  • To be an effective communicator at all levels and areas of the business with strong customer management skills.
  • Be an advocate for change, evangelise product management and business analysis practices and support product-led culture across the organisation.

Qualification & Certification

  • B.E./B.Tech/ MTech in IT or Computer Science from a reputed institute (preferred) or Master's Degree in Quantitative Subjects e.g. Mathematics, Statistics & Economics
  • 15+ years in Product Development organization
  • Must be leading a team of 10+ Business Analysts
  • Must be from Business Analyst background having 5+ years of hands of experience
  • Should be well versed with Agile, especially Scrum processes
  • Experience working with Product owners and business stakeholders is a must
