Satellite Engineer - SAR Technology Expert (X Band) Cosmicport Space Technology Private Limited, Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu
Department: R&D, Satellite Employment Type: Contract/Full-Time Minimum Experience: Senior-level Cosmicport, a space technology startup, is building a launch vehicle tailored for small and medium-range satellites, in addition to advancing Earth Observation Satellites (EOS) designed for Sun-Synchronous Orbits (SSO) to serve commercial entities. Our cost-effective reusable launch vehicle provides precise and dependable launch solutions, facilitating the establishment of constellation platforms. The role being offered involves significant contributions to the design, integration, and testing of EOS, and the incumbent will be an integral part of the Research and Development (R&D) satellite team. Responsibilities: Drive the development and implementation of SAR technology in the satellite domain, focusing on X Band applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, optimize, and enhance satellite systems. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements, incorporating them into our satellite solutions. Basic Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Avionics/Electronics and Communication Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in satellite technology, with a specialization in SAR (minimum 5 years). In-depth knowledge of X Band applications and related technologies. Strong understanding of radar signal processing and interpretation. Proficient in utilizing software tools for satellite system simulation and analysis. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations. Requirements: Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Demonstrated expertise in SAR algorithm development and implementation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment. Note: Advisor level position can be remote while a full-time employee has to work on-site. Compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis with consideration of knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
