Credit Head - Consumer Durables

Job description

Design, develop, implement and monitor Credit policy and processes for the Consumer Durables product based on the market intelligence and product strategy. This includes underwriting, credit appraisal, delegation, portfolio monitoring (credit bulletin Post disbursal monitoring review of normal and overdue cases), Statutory and Compliance.

Experience:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan Credit Underwriting vision & outlook.

2. Build and lead a highly collaborative and proactive credit function that is able to navigate the increasingly complex business and regulatory environment that the company operates in.

3. Develop credit appraisal and underwriting of consumer durables loan in a decentralized credit delivery environment and be aware of early warning triggers and portfolio management.

4. Achieve homogeneity in credit decisions by moving a majority of logins through business rule engines and implementing robust credit processes to improve credit quality and product profitability.

5. Design and formulate programs/policy changes to enhance growth and profitability of the portfolio.

6. Collaborate with product heads to reach untapped customer segments, strengthen product portfolio and help mitigate margin compression.

7. Ensure compliance to procedures laid down for processing, sanction, documentation and disbursement of the portfolio.

8. Conduct periodic review of all existing policies, guidelines and processes to ensure updating on lines of external environment, organisation needs and regulatory framework.

9. Oversee identification and resolution of fraudulent practices, mitigate risk through changes in policy and process supervise external agents for verification process including fraud investigation, legal verification and technical evaluation.

10. Increase efficiency and productivity of the function by effectively managing relationships with the team.

11. Regular Feedback to Team for their work and conduct regular discussion on portfolio behaviours and policy changes and evaluate their understanding and awareness about policy.

12. Collaborate with cross departments both internally and externally to ensure smooth functioning of the credit processes.
