We are hiring for: Cowbell is hiring an

Accountant,

International to join our Finance team. In this role, you’ll be part of a dynamic financial organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and growth. You will be responsible for daily accounting tasks for AP/AR, maintaining financial records and reports, performing bank and account reconciliations, and

assisting

with

period-end close processes

for all our global operations in the

U.S, India, Canada, and the U.K.

You will play a crucial role in supporting the organization by ensuring the company’s accounting operations run smoothly and will have the opportunity to expand and grow your role with the company working with the rest of the finance team in the U.S. and the operations team in India.

Job Location: Amar Tech Park, Cowbell Cyber, Balewadi, Pune 411045 Looking for immediate joiners. Onboarding can be as early as in March 2024. Candidates with India & US & UK Accounting need to apply.

What you will do:

Financial Record Keeping:

Maintain and update accounting records, including the general ledger. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions. Accounts Payable:

Handle incoming bills and invoices and process corresponding payments. Application of payments: Work closely with U.S.-based team to apply incoming individual and bulk premium payments to the associated insurance policies Bank Reconciliation:

Regularly reconcile bank statements to verify accuracy. Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly. Balance Sheet Reconciliations:

Keep balance sheet accounts clean and up-to-date. Perform regular reconciliations for accuracy. Fixed Assets and Prepaid Schedules:

Update and maintain the fixed assets register. Manage prepaid expenses and ensure proper accounting. Intercompany Transactions: Process financial transactions between Cowbell’s Indian subsidiary and other entities within the organization. Ensure proper documentation and compliance. Cash Flow Projections:

Prepare cash flow forecasts based on historical data and future plans. Monitor liquidity and recommend actions as needed. Month-End and Year-End Closes:

Lead closing processes, including accruals and adjustment journal entries. Conduct flux analysis to identify trends and anomalies. Stakeholder Communication : Independently engage with internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters. Research and interpret data to address inquiries. Compliance and Tax Filings : Ensure adherence to rules, regulations, and timely tax filings. Collaborate with tax professionals as needed. Process Improvement and Documentation:

Continuously enhance financial processes and controls. Document procedures and best practices. Professional Development:

Stay informed by participating in educational opportunities, reading industry publications, and networking. Engage with professional organizations to expand your knowledge base.

What Cowbell needs from you:

Graduate Degree. Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience Good written and verbal communication skills are a MUST Detail-oriented is a MUST Flexible and open to change, innovation, and new information High level of organization and a willingness to problem-solve Sense of urgency and mission-driven and must know how to manage pressure.
