Roles & Responsibilities
SAFETY, SECURITY & COMPLIANCE
- Know and understand Weatherford's enterprise excellence program and the quality policy and comply with all requirements of the quality systems manual, operating and technical procedures, and workplace instructions.
- Maintains the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring that all activities are carried out ethically and in compliance with Company policies and procedures, relevant laws, regulations, standards and industry practices.
- Responsible with being familiar with the Company's Security, Compliance & HSE policies and takes an active role in the compliance & improvement of Weatherford’s Management System including meeting all reporting requirements.

QUALITY
- Responsible for being familar with the Company's Quality policies and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherford’s Management System.
- Maintains service quality as immediate priorities when working across all areas of the business.
OPERATIONS
Work individually and as a team to setup, assemble, and run test programs for various oilfield completion tools to meet test qualifications outlined by industry standards or specific engineering teams. Maintain testing equipment through scheduled maintenance and keep lab and testing areas clean. Provide support for the engineering teams as needed to meet their testing goals.
- This is the intermediate level job. Under close supervision, has responsibility to work with and support engineers who use the test data to improve the quality of products and their processes.
- May record and interpret test data. Resolves routine questions or problems, referring only complex issues to a higher level.
- Prepare Specifications For Purchase Of Materials And Equipment.
- Maintaining equipment in good working order.
- Gathering test parts, equipment, and set up tests using overhead hoists and/or forklifts.
- Perform and maintain inventory of test parts and equipment.
- Operating test equipment (Hydraulic Pumps, Induction Heater Systems, Manual and Pneumatic Valves, etc.)
- Conclude test setups and store equipment properly.
- Maintain the appearance of office, lab, and grounds of the facility.
- Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
- Carry out work assignments to the highest quality level.
- Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
- Train/mentor less experienced employees.
COMMUNICATION
- Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external.
- Collaborate with other engineering staff to meet assigned project and testing goals .
FINANCIAL
- All employees have an accountability to the organisation to be financially responsible whether they are in charge of a function budget or simply their own expenses.
- Costs incurred should be within approved budget and processed within agreed time frames and following the relevant financial policy and procedure.
PEOPLE & DEVELOPMENT
- Employees have a responsibility for developing their own careers within the Company including completing all necessary function training to enhance their skills and experience
- Employees must complete all assigned Compliance & Company Standards training
- Employees should engage on a regular basis with their line manager to discuss their personal performance, objectives and opportunities to enhance their skills and experience to support their career potential
VISION & LEADERSHIP
- Demontrates leadership, ethical behaviour and adherence to Weatherford standards at all times.
REQUIRED
- 5-7+ years of experience in Oilfield and/or Lab Environments.
PREFERRED
- Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
REQUIRED
- Experience operating material handling equipment (Forklift, Overhead Hoist, Scissor Lift, etc.)
- Experience using hand tools (Pipe Wrench, Adjustable Wrench, Screwdriver, Measuring Tape, etc.)
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to follow verbal instructions.
- Ability to physically respond to emergency situations.
- Ability to read and comprehend drawings/prints and tool layouts.
