Job description
Concentrix + Webhelp is Hiring for Lead Engineer/Software Architect.
Purpose of Position
• Software Architect for the next generation Point of Sale platform
• Works with Chief Architecture to conceptualize, implement and support both internal and external proof of concept applications and solutions
• Works with our marketing, customer (internal and external) and partners to understand, scope, and design solutions not covered by the existing architecture
• Works directly with scrum teams to accelerate new product development - guide software engineers and developers, layout optimal design solutions for the business's requirements
• Works as a team member and recommends best practices and new technology and tools to accelerate new product development
• Anticipate stakeholder needs, and develop and discuss potential solutions, even before the stakeholder realizes they are required
• Serve as an overall software engineering architect for key programs implementing critical architectural changes
• Initiate and lead open conversations with teams and stakeholders to build trust
• Deal effectively with ambiguous and unstructured problems and situations.
Key Responsibilities
• Define, analyze, and review software architecture and requirements for POS platforms and products.
• Key contributor to system architecture for current and future platforms and products
• Evaluate new project requests and provide solution feasibility to Project Manager and team Mangers.
• Participate in definition, design, and review of software architecture, design, application frameworks, and interfaces.
• Provide technical leadership and support to Software Engineering at multiple physical locations around the globe
• Support Proof of Concept projects by installing and troubleshooting software at customer sites.
• Responsible for gathering and understanding requirements, proposing logical and physical architectural directions
• Responsibilities will span all phases of product development including requirements, architecture, design, and implementation
• Work to develop senior resources into SMEs and then architects.
• Conduct training and architecture overview sessions for new leaders and team members
• Write technology whitepaper driving the future of certain product and technology.

Background and Skill
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field required, Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in software development.
• 4 or More Years of .NET (C#,.Net, etc.)
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience programming multi-threaded applications with C and C++
• Experience with cross-platform development and debugging
• Experience with software development methodologies and developing software frameworks
• Experience writing technical specifications
