Job description
The PreSales Solutions Engineer (UC – NEC/Mitel/Unify/Cisco/Avaya) is a key contributor to Black Box Network Services’ Solution Engineering practice. The SE will need to leverage a healthy balance of leadership, technical, and sales skills in a very dynamic and fast-paced environment.
This position is located in Bengaluru, India. Position focuses on flexibility, availability, and adaptability, with a superior level of focus on customer service, and awareness of SLAs with the expectation to exceed customer expectations in all areas of responsibility. Essential Functions: · Leading technical presentations, providing in-depth product knowledge, conducting product training for sales teams, and collaborating with product development to address customer needs · Ensure service level agreements are maintained and exceeded. · Interact with team members, management, various internal departments, business partners, and third party organizations to maintain workflows, escalate, and ultimately complete customer quote requests. · Continuously develop and enhance knowledge, skills and abilities through various learning channels to expand technical and non-technical capabilities. Ensure further expansion of skill-set in the products & services supported. · Meet all financial performance objectives for area of responsibility and take corrective action as needed. · Implement and make recommendations to improve methodologies, core competencies and processes for the Core Design Center to ensure stable and quality product is delivered consistent with company objectives and client expectations. · Actively and consistently recommend and support all efforts to improve, simplify, automate, and enhance day-to-day Design Center operations and the client experience. · Achieve performance targets established by leadership for applicable Key Performance Indicators. · This position has no direct reports. Education Requirements: · Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related, preferred. Experience Requirements: 5-7 + years of relevant experience. Product-specific design experience Experience with manufacturer design and reporting tools 3-5 years or more of sales engineering experience, with a track record of successful customer interactions Other Qualifications, Skills & Certifications: Comprehensive knowledge of any of the following: NEC Studio Avaya A1S Cisco CCW Mitel CPQ Advanced understanding of TCP/IP/LAN/WAN Protocols preferred; entry level understanding required. NEC, Mitel, Cisco, Avaya, Unify or other UC platform Technical Sales Certifications are highly desired Competencies: Excellent oral and written English skills Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and scope. Ability to listen to and understand client requirements and individual preferences with a successful track record of developing creative and innovative solutions. Demonstrated ability to continuously expand and leverage knowledge of technology, market, and industry trends with success in identifying, recommending, and implementing best practices and methodologies.
