Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Storage/Backup Admin – L2, you will be placed at customer location and will have to demonstrate expertise in Storage/backup domain along with related H/W and S/w devices. You will be involved in troubleshooting and operational maintenance of hardware, software and associated applications. You are expected to work on Infrastructure/ OS /Software. Virtualization, solutions based on any vendor hardware /vendor operating system with little or minimum support from superiors. E.g. include: Skills on Storage/Netback up, Deep security. Typical examples of the other deliverables would be of deploying, managing, and implementing Storage/Netback up, Deep security, Linux, AIX, windows solutions to address client business requirements.
Responsibilities:
Should have relevant experience as System administrator, repair & maintenance with knowledge and expertise on the Storage, Storage software, Backup application, Windows and other related domains
To ensure performance of the Storage infrastructure and DC. Should have experience of handling DC operations along with the team.
- Should have good knowledge in Windows 2012, 2016 & 2019.
- Experienced in Windows cluster Implementation, Migration & Troubleshooting.
- Knowledge in Rack Servers Hardware Firmware & BIOS update.
- Should have good knowledge & troubleshooting skills on MS Clusters, Windows Load Balancing.
- Experienced with OS, Installation, Upgrades and Patching in Virtual machines environment.
- Should have good working experience on RAID management and Array controller.
- Experienced with WSUS & Deep Security
- Experienced in AIX cluster
- Experienced in Rack Server management
- Required Troubleshooting skills in Blue screen error, MS Cluster, and etc.
- Knowledge in NIC Teaming & Load balancer.VMware skills required:
- Experienced in Vmware vSphere 6.0 & 7.0.
- Experienced in Hyper-V with cluster
- Should have good knowledge in HA, RDM, snapshot, vMotion (Virtual machines & Storage).
- In depth knowledge in Vmware Standard & Distributed switch, datastore & datastore clustering.
- Good knowledge in Port groups (VSAN) Trunk & Access mode.
- Should have knowledge in ESXi hypervisor patching & upgrade.
- Hand on experienced in virtual machine hardware version.
- Should have good experienced in Vmware vCenter with HA.
- Should have good knowledge in virtual machines commission & decommission.
- Storage skills required:
- Extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of Hitachi VSPG1500/VSPG400/VSPG200 & EMC Storages
- Should have good knowledge in iSCSI/NFS/CIFS/SAN technologies.
- Upgrades, and maintenance of switches
- Experience of Local & Remote Replication and HORCM.
- Design and implement Hitachi storage systems, including installation, configuration, software upgrades, and storage provisioning.
- To provide 3rd level Storage Management services, support and product support for Hitachi & netcool administration and Storage Solutions.
- In depth knowledge in Brocade & Cisco MDS SAN Switch.
- Manage the Hitachi content platform Storage
- Experienced in Ticketing tools.
- Handling P1, P2 & P3 incidents.
- Experience in Backup, Restoration knowledge and trouble shooting skills of backup software’s like Netbackup.
- DR Drill related activities.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience in IT infrastructure projects, planning, implementation, and administration across multiple domains, as well as experience in end- to-end IT Operations.
- Experience: Candidate should have minimum 6 years of relevant experience in the similar environment.
- Experience in support of Storage/backup devices and applications.
- Monitoring the entire IT Infra of Servers, Storages, SAN Switches and Data centre.
- Good knowledge on virtual environment.
- Configure, Manage and troubleshoot various administrator roles as described above.
- Should be able to update/upgrade firmware’s/drivers on any of this hardware and software. Should have good experience in implementation and troubleshooting of complex issues.
- Understanding of Networking technologies.
- Ability to lead related to IT changes, IT setup and new process setup by coordination with multiple arms of IT team.
- Demonstrate Problem Solving & analytical skills in IT Infrastructure domain both IT hardware & software / applications Experience in projects, planning, implementation, and administration in multiple domains.
- Documentation skills for generating process and procedure documents for preparing required reports and presentations.
- Be Part of all Technical discussions and review the changes to be implemented. Preparing Root Cause Analysis.
- Working with respective OEMs and derive the calls to resolution.
- Reporting and analysis of day-to-day tasks.
- Working with all regional DC/DR teams and field support teams to drive the issues to closure.
- Preparing SOP of all the Tasks, activities and break fix issues. Sharing knowledge base and other details on periodic basis with the team and other associates.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- BTech/ MCA from reputed institute. Relevant Certifications preferred.
- Ability to manage all tasks assigned by Project Manager & client within the time limit. Should be disciplined and adhere to all the guidelines.
