About the Role:
Star Sports India is on the hunt for a passionate storyteller and proven media executive to shape the way cricket is presented on the network's Telugu feed. This is a rare opportunity to influence and shape the sport viewing experience in the State, across broadcast and digital platforms. As Producer, you have a rare chance to influence the sports viewing experience in the state across both broadcast and digital platforms. In addition to possessing extensive knowledge of the sport, the ideal candidate must have sharp and highly developed creative skills with live PCR and Post -Production skills.
Context:
Star Sports Telugu is the premier sports channel for Telugu sports fans in twin states of AP & TS. In nearly 5 years since its launch, the network has already stamped its presence – contributing key ratings to the consumption in the State for live events in rights-held Cricket & Kabaddi properties
As we move ahead into a critical phase on the network journey, we are looking for a producer for the Telugu team in LIVE & Non-Live Sports Content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and produce surround programming and beyond-live content mix on the channel.
- Prepare show run downs for Live lead up shows for the Cricket & Kabaddi and beyond live shows.
- Develop and narrate engaging stories that foster audience affinity for the network's live and non-live content.
- Write scripts in Telugu for both short-format editorial videos and long-format shows.
- Generate ideas and script special segments for live and non-live shows to captivate the audience and drive increased viewership.
- Work closely with Video editors, Live Producers, Studio & Live Production teams to deliver an exceptional on-air product.
- Play a key role in setting the daily match agenda and telling stories that the State needs to hear across sport.
- Routinely deliver high quality programming in the live and non-live space that reinforces Star's reputation as world cricket's most progressive and respected broadcaster.
- Stay abreast of social media trends, leveraging this understanding to produce short-form content fitted for digital platforms.
Performance Measures:
- Production delivery of all properties on the Star Sports Telugu channels for core viewers across TV & Digital medium to improve engagement.
- Develop robust and thought-provoking content plans that engage audiences for longer and drives viewership.
- Collaborating with the production and post-production teams to adhere to globally recognized broadcast standards and practices in both TV and digital broadcasting.
Qualifications:
- Graduate/Postgraduate in any content/creative stream (Journalism/Production - Media or Film) with a minimum of 6 years of experience.
- Strong proficiency in Telugu (reading, writing, and speaking) is must.
- Proficient in MS Office skills.
- Knowledge of any video editing software is an added advantage (Adobe Premiere Pro & Final Cut Pro).
- Basic understanding of live broadcast graphics and packaging elements and software (Adobe After Effects & Photoshop).
