Job description

Job Profile Summary:

50% - Manage a team of Business Operations Analysts to ensure delivery of data, reporting and analytics programs aligning with strategic priorities and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Lead, coach and guide team members and serve as an escalation path to unblock any risks/issues affecting team's performance.

50% - Performs moderately complex analyses of business goals, objectives, and needs of the general business environment. Responsible for managing technical projects or programs, working closely with business stakeholders and technical staff to design and launch projects. Requires working with key business and IT stakeholders to define strategy, gather requirements and define program scope. Communicates with senior management on status, risks and change control. Plans and designs business processes and reporting. Makes recommendations and changes in order to improve and support business activities. Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics and implement the KPIs into dashboards/reports providing analytics needed to drive the decisions made or actions taken by senior leadership. Utilizes systems and data to resolve business issues in the most effective and productive manner.

Operates under little to no supervision and leads less experienced team members.

Critical Competencies

Typically requires 7-10 years working knowledge of a technology-based service-oriented industry. At least 2 years of leadership experience.

5+ years' experience in the following:

-Analyzing and interpreting data.

-Technical program management

-Experience with report building/data visualization using Power BI or similar tools.

-Experience with implementing data analytics and reporting programs

-Advanced Microsoft Excel experience

Key Responsibilities

Lead a team of Business Operations Analysts to deliver on Technical programs, as well as perform functions independently for high profile initiatives:

Prioritize business and project requirements. Define project purpose and cost/benefit analysis for various initiatives and projects. Enact project planning and management to balance project resource, timeline, and scope. Provide thorough communication internally within the department and externally to the rest of the business. Provide functional expertise to one or more business areas. Define and documents process flows. Facilitate testing and quality assurance. Facilitate end user training. Help establish framework for business operations reports for various functional areas. Owns and manages all business operations reporting. Run with business operations and analytics needs as pertaining to: current projects and initiatives, ad hoc information requests, CORE requests, communication plans around projects and initiatives, business case development for tools and resources. Oversee and own document management initiatives.

Knowledge

Strong understanding of data analytics, metrics and reporting. Intermediate organization, decision-making, and written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Proficient with MS Office tools, including Work, Excel, and PowerPoint. Self-starter and ability to work both independently and in team environments. Consistently exercises sound judgment makes appropriate decisions considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions. The ability to build and lead a team that values organizational success over personal success provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure peak performance identify and invest in high-potentials actively manage under performance.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or Engineering required.
