The Experience
In the fast-paced world of consumer health and safety, it's an exhilarating time to join the Toxicology and Ingredient Data Maintenance team at Colgate. Our dedicated team is committed to ensuring the safety and compliance of Colgate-Palmolive products, contributing to the company's reputation for trust and quality.
What role will you play as a member of Colgate’s CBS EHS team?
As a Toxicology and Ingredient Data Maintenance Analyst, you will work with internal stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and integrity of product ingredient data. You will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date toxicological information and ensuring compliance with global regulations. Your role involves:
Managing and updating ingredient databases to reflect current scientific and regulatory information.
Collaborating with Research & Development and Supply Chain teams to ensure the safety of ingredients and finished products.
Conducting risk assessments and providing toxicological support for product development and innovation.
Responding to internal and external inquiries regarding product safety and ingredient information.

- Detail-oriented, with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Experience working cross-functionally with various business areas.
- Familiarity with toxicological databases and regulatory requirements.

- Ensuring data accuracy is critical, so you'll validate ingredient information and toxicological data to maintain consistency across different products and platforms.
- Adapting to the evolving landscape of consumer safety, you'll seek innovative ways to manage and communicate ingredient and toxicological data.
You are a collaborator:
- You will support the Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs team by providing accurate data and analysis.
- Work with internal teams to ensure that our ingredient data management practices are robust and sustainable.
- Partner with external regulatory bodies and scientific organizations to stay abreast of new developments and guidelines.
You are an innovator:
- In a constantly changing regulatory environment, you'll explore new methods to enhance our data management systems and contribute to the safety and success of our products.
What you’ll need…
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Toxicology, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Proficient knowledge of database management and regulatory compliance tools.
- Strong understanding of toxicological principles and risk assessment methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex scientific information effectively.
What you’ll need…(Preferred)
- Experience in the consumer packaged goods industry, particularly in health, oral care, or personal care products.
- Familiarity with Colgate’s product portfolio and the regulatory landscape affecting our business (for internal candidates).
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to facilitate cross-functional initiatives.
