Key Job Responsibilities:
- Mechanical design, analysis, and test efforts to support electronics product development projects that meet customer needs, improve efficiency, reduce cost, and improve reliability.
- Coordinates the work of other functional team members for concept design, sample preparation, testing, evaluation, trouble shooting, and decision making.
- Responsible for the development, evaluation, and implementation of mechanical components for variable speed drives. Components include heat sinks, mounting hardware, plastic enclosures etc.
- Work with electronics team in the development of product specifications and development schedules.
- Work with Advanced Manufacturing Engineers to develop and implement manufacturing processes.
- Work with Procurement Engineers to source prototype parts and support identification and qualification of production suppliers.
- Work with reliability group for development and execution of product qualification
- Thermal & CFD Analysis Tools like ICEPACK, ANSYS based FEA are a plus.
- Vibration Analysis Tools like SHERLOCK is a plus.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering with mechanical packaging design experience of 3 years or more.
- Experience with CAD engineering tools like NX, Solid Edge, Teamcenter.
- Experience working on Mechanical 2D & 3D drawings.
- Fluent English communications skills both writing and oral.
- New Product Development process knowledge is a plus.
