Job Title: Sales Engineer
Job Purpose for Sales Engineer:
The Sales Engineer plays a pivotal role in our organization by combining technical expertise with sales proficiency to drive business growth. The primary purpose of the Sales Engineer position is to strategically engage with clients, understand their technical needs, and provide tailored solutions from our product range. The incumbent will contribute to the development of strong client relationships, create compelling proposals, and actively participate in business development activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement:
Visit clients to gather information, understand their needs, and build strong relationships.
Identify potential clients in the target market through comprehensive research on their business and equipment needs.

Proposal Development:
Collaborate with sales teams to create compelling proposals for current and prospective clients.
Negotiate contract terms with clients and effectively communicate terms to stakeholders.
Compose tender documents and customer proposals.

Product Knowledge and Demonstration:
Travel to customer locations to discuss and showcase the technical features and benefits of our products.
Advise customers on technology upgrades and related products.
Become a subject matter expert on our business products, processes, and operations, staying up-to-date on industry news.

Sales Strategy and Business Development:
Identify, qualify, and secure business opportunities, developing customized targeted sales strategies.
Collaborate with sales and leadership to secure, retain, and grow accounts.
Meet or exceed annual sales goals.

Communication and Reporting:
Create and deliver informative presentations to potential clients at meetings, industry exhibits, trade shows, and conferences.
Maintain a pipeline of all sales administration and prepare regular reports.
Respond to client requests for proposals (RFPs) and follow-up on client inquiries.

Administrative Tasks:
Generate purchase orders and sales receipts.
Maintain a list/database of prospect clients using tools such as Salesforce, CRM, Excel, etc.
Conduct inbound and cold calling, making multiple outbound calls to potential clients.

Collaboration with Teams:
Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure contracted product specifications are executed on time and as agreed.
Collaborate with sales teams on various aspects of the sales process.

Primary Skills:
Sales and negotiation skills.
Technical product knowledge.
Relationship building and client engagement.
Proposal development and contract negotiation.
Business development and strategy implementation.
Secondary Skills:
Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Proven experience in technical sales or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of technical and scientific products.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel as required.
