Responsibilities As a Maintenance and Utility Head - your responsibilities would revolve around ensuring the uninterrupted operation of production facilities while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency in the processing of edible oils. Here's an outline of key responsibilities in this specific context:
- Maintenance Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy tailored to the needs of production facilities. This includes preventive maintenance schedules, predictive maintenance techniques, and corrective maintenance procedures to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
- Equipment Management: Oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery used in the refining, packaging, boiler and storage of oils. This includes but is not limited to pumps, tanks, vessels, conveyors, filtration systems, and packaging machines.
- Utility Systems: Manage the maintenance and operation of utility systems critical to oil production, such as boilers, steam generation systems, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and wastewater treatment plants. Ensure these systems operate efficiently to support production requirements.
- Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, FDA) in all maintenance and utility operations. Conduct regular safety audits, implement safety training programs, and oversee the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Develop and manage the maintenance and utility budgets, allocating resources effectively to prioritize critical needs while optimizing operational costs. Identify opportunities for cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of maintenance technicians, engineers, and utility operators, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure a high level of performance and professionalism. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the department.
- Supplier and Contractor Management: Maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors for the procurement of spare parts, equipment, and maintenance services. Negotiate contracts, monitor service quality, and ensure compliance with service agreements.
- Process Optimization: Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements. Implement changes to equipment and systems to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Emergency Response and Crisis Management: Develop contingency plans and protocols for responding to emergencies such as equipment failures, power outages, or environmental incidents. Ensure rapid response and effective resolution to minimize disruptions to production.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and utility consumption. Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), maintenance metrics, and operational efficiency for management review.
Qualification - BE/Btech – Mechanical
- 10 to 15 years of working experience
- Preferred candidate - who can report immediately
- Salary Budget - Monthly gross - 60 to 90k Per month
