Boeing Global Services Digital Solutions is currently looking for a Lead Product Specialist to join their team in Bengaluru, KA , to develop digital solutions for advancing Airline Disruption Management platform through AI/ML technologies. Must have a deep understanding of the airline industry and a proven track record in leveraging AI/ML to optimize flight scheduling, crew, passenger re-accommodation, network Ops, and operational recovery during disruptions. As Lead Product Specialist - drive innovation, foster a culture of data-driven decision-making, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive solutions that enhance airline operations, customer satisfaction, and overall resilience while enabling strategic planning through simulation.

Position Responsibilities:
As a Lead Product Specialist - Airline Disruption Management Platform, the selected individual will work in the BDAS-I team to lead and direct a team of highly skilled individuals responsible for developing and deploying Aviation software products.
The selected individual will engage in defining and developing the Industry first - Airline Disruption Management system employing AI/ML and engineering data analytics methods
Evaluate business opportunities to define and lead product innovation
Deeply understand the airline customer experience, identify and fill product gaps, generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
Develop product roadmaps and project plans designed to address customer needs
Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
Work closely with software development and validate early product definitions and proof-of-concepts with customers
Identify and document customer business problems and objectives
defining, refining and documenting business requirements and user stories of the proposed minimum valuable product (MVP).
Interacts with project stakeholders to clarify and define product and system requirements associated with proposed solutions, including translation of business requirements into technical requirements which is an interactive process throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Analyzes and documents features and user stories and develops detailed functional and user specifications as a basis for detailed design, development specifications and estimates with SME's in technology development.
Interacts with system engineers, developers and software testers to ensure customer requirements are fully understood, implemented and validated as agreed. Executes user acceptance and scenario testing of implemented features and user stories.
Interacts with project owners/stakeholders and the development team, where required, to ensure a common understanding of requirements, expectations, activities, priorities and timeframes, tool landscapes and changes to these as they may occur.
Contributes to the creation, maintenance and review of product documentation including product and system requirements, user manuals, training material and release notes. Responsible to document the 'Requirements and Change Management plan'
Responsible for assisting in the resolution of risk, defects and issues.
Will work with cross-functional teams spread across multiple products and locations within Boeing and external partners.
Work in an Agile Scrum team following the best practices on Software Craftsmanship such as Test-driven development and Pair Programming/Peer Reviews.
Work in close cooperation - actively aligns the technical roadmap, APIs and Interaction Design, with teams based in international locations.
Keep track of and actively reduce technical debt.

This position provides periodic updates to Boeing management in the form of progress reports, project summaries, and other related documents. This position will also be responsible for coordinating and communicating regularly with experts in Boeing organizations around the world.
This position will support initiatives of the Boeing India organization related to engineering excellence, employee development, mentoring, customer engagement, etc…
Research and recommend new technologies to improve the product development activities.
Travel domestically and internationally, as required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
A Bachelor's degree or higher is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION
A Bachelor's Degree with 12+ years of experience or a Master's Degree with 11+ years of experience is a must.
Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or other closely related fields.
8+ years of experience in product development/management, program management and/or financial analysis in the Aviation domain
5+ years aviation software or data service product development experience helpful
Drawing product roadmaps for Digital Transformation for next generation solutions.
Exposure to application of artificial intelligence and machine learning, specifically applied to the airline industry's disruption management
Exposure to data-driven decision-making, which is crucial when implementing AI/ML solutions in airline disruption management
Exposure or proven track record in leveraging Digital Twin technology to enhance airline operations, simulate complex scenarios, and optimize disruption management
Experience in driving innovation in Airline Disruption Management Solutions and Simulation through AI/ML.
Experience in developing and deploying a strategic vision for the application of AI/ML in optimizing airline operations during disruptions
Good understanding the complexities of the airline industry, including scheduling, passenger management, operational recovery, and strategic planning.
Airline Industry Knowledge: Understanding the complexities of the airline industry, including scheduling, Crew, Fleet assignment, passenger management, operational recovery, and strategic planning.
Working experience in an Airline Operations Control Centre and/or developing/implementing software systems for Airline OCC
Experience presenting and communicating ideas to key stakeholders across businesses
Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and team skills
Knowledge of international aviation regulations and airline operations requirements and/or pain points appreciated
Excellent understanding of Commercial aviation market and Flight Operations
Good understanding of Airline Operations and Disruption Management
Good understanding of the software development process including the release processes and roadmap definition
Domain experience in Airline Operations and Aviation
Experience in AI/ML based solutions is an added advantage
Experience in evangelizing cloud adoption and establishing cloud architectures
Experience in Software Development
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 12 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+11 years' related work experience.)
