About RangeAero
RangeAero envisions itself among the leaders in the regional unmanned aviation with ultra-low-cost-aircraft globally, by strategically positioning the tech amp; development operations in India- an emerging hub for aerospace component manufacturing. RangeAero is materialising the opportunity for short-haul cargo operations at 4x speed with autonomous microlight helicopters (2-seater equivalent), with capacity of 150 kgs to cover 200 kms. RangeAero is creating the full ecosystem for such pilotless freight aircrafts including the operational tech-framework.

About The Position - This role offers a unique opportunity to drive the concept, design, planning, and execution of sophisticated systems that propel the development of our autonomous aircrafts.
- Lead the conceptualisation and design of autonomous helicopter systems, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
- Define and refine system requirements, specifications, and architecture, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Develop comprehensive plans for the implementation of autonomous systems, considering project timelines and resource requirements.
- Oversee the execution of system design, integration, and testing phases, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
- Drive the development of avionics, flight control, communication, and navigation systems architecture for autonomous helicopters.
- Proactively identify and address challenges in system design and functionality.
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues.
- Maintain detailed documentation for all phases of system design, testing, and validation.
- Collaborate with external partners, suppliers, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Who Can Apply - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with minimum 2 years of experience.
- Proven experience as a Systems Engineer in the aerospace or robotics industry, with a focus on autonomous systems.
- Expertise in systems architecture, modeling, and simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of safety-critical systems and certification processes for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work seamlessly in a cross-functional team.
Mandatory Skills - Experience with the concept, design, and execution of autonomous systems for unmanned aerial vehicles.
- Familiarity with software development processes and languages.
- In-depth knowledge of planning and executing complex aerospace projects.
- In-depth understanding and experience with CAD tools, project management softwares and simulation tools.
