About Peppermint Robotics

Peppermint is an autonomous robotics company co-started out of SINE IIT-Bombay and supported by Qualcomm. With a focused goal of expediting the advent of service robots, Peppermint designs and makes commercial housekeeping robots from its factory in Pune and works across from its o ces in Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore, Dubai and Austin.

Overview

As a Tech Ops Engineer at Peppermint Robotics, you'll have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a cutting-edge robotics company. We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented individual who possesses attention to detail, proactive communication, to plan within the available resources and is self driven. This role would support the Europe Region.

Qualification

  • B.E./ B.Tech in Electronics/ Electrical/ Computer science.
  • Candidate with proficient German language skills would be an added advantage
  • What The Work Looks Like:
  • Effectively lead the Global Tech Ops team and serve as primary point of contact for client enquiries and technical support requests.
  • Maximize serviceability of machines deployed across geographical Business Units.
  • Track of all service engineers and plan accordingly for demo, deployment and L2 services.
  • Anchor and oversee demo, deployment and fault recti cation of overseas robots in person.
  • Manage strict TAT with respect to ticket closures.
  • Daily brief to the line manager with respect to pending faults, planning, spares, dispatch and assistance required, if any.
  • Mentor and keep pushing the team to perform better and set new benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with software and hardware teams to enhance system functionality and performance.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to address complex technical issues encountered during operation, leveraging expertise to develop innovative solutions and optimize system performance.
  • To ensure effective knowledge transfer to on eld service engineers for better day to day operation and to promote minimum interventions and assistance over calls.
  • Collaborated with product development team/ relevant stakeholders to provide feedback and insights gathered from client interaction, contributing to enhancement of further Robotics solutions.

Experience And Skills / Qualities We Deeply Value

  • Proven experience of at least 2+ years as a Technical Operations Engineer or similar role, customer service experience with focus on Robotics and automation.
  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures is a must.
  • Familiarities with regulations and standards governing robotics and automation in Europe and the USA, ensuring compliance with local requirements.
  • Work as per timing requires from Europe and USA clients.
  • Having a valid Indian passport and schengen visa will be an added advantage.
  • Immaculate English-speaking and written communication skills.
  • Adaptability: Thrives in fast-paced environments, embraces challenges with a positive mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Leadership: Inspires and motivates teams, excels in proactive problem solving.
