We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Intelligence Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our business intelligence solutions, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and data engineers to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient BI solutions
The individual in this position interfaces with various functional teams to support the BI solution delivery. They proactively identify needs or issues, develop strategies, and propose/implement technical and process solutions. The Senior BI Developer leads complex or specialized projects and will grow to become a subject matter expert with responsibility for mentoring and training all levels of BI developers as well as business stakeholders
Develop and maintain robust business intelligence solutions:
Design, develop, and optimize data models, ETL processes, and data visualization components
Implement data integration and transformation strategies to ensure data accuracy and consistency
Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to extract and manipulate data
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements:
Work closely with business users and analysts to understand their reporting and analytics needs
Translate business requirements into technical specifications for BI solution development
Provide recommendations on data structures, visualization techniques, and reporting tools
Create interactive and insightful data visualizations:
Develop visually appealing and intuitive dashboards, reports, and scorecards
Ensure data visualizations effectively communicate key insights and facilitate decision-making
Identify opportunities for data exploration and self-service analytics
Perform data analysis and troubleshooting:
Conduct data profiling, analysis, and validation to ensure data quality and integrity
Identify and resolve data-related issues, performance bottlenecks, and system errors
Collaborate with data engineers to optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing
Mentor and guide junior developers:
Provide technical leadership, guidance, and support to junior members of the team
Share best practices, conduct code reviews, and promote a culture of continuous improvement
Stay updated with emerging BI trends, technologies, and methodologies
Participate in the out of hours support process
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus
Proven experience (5+ years) as a Business Intelligence Developer, working extensive experience building Enterprise Data Warehouses
Extensive experience with the Microsoft BI Toolkit (SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS and Power BI)
Strong proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and ETL processes
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data governance
Candidates must have hands-on experience with gathering business requirements, documenting the reporting and analysis specifications, and designing technical architecture
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R is a plus
Certifications in relevant BI tools and technologies are a plus
Ability to be flexible and work under high pressure in a complex environment
HealthCare/RCM/Financial systems is a major plus
Experience with large Health care EMRs is a plus
Understand and comply with company policies and procedures
