As an Analyst in our ' Private Equity group' , you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm
You will play a role in supporting the global investor relations efforts of J.P. Morgan Asset Management - Private Equity Group.The analyst role will require strong quantitative skills and/or a desire to learn advanced Excel techniques for both maintaining and improving portfolio and performance analytics across a range of data and information sources. The position will also include support in building and creating presentation materials as well as responding to client proposal requests, requiring strong PowerPoint and writing skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and improve client materials including portfolio reviews, performance analytics and benchmarking, and ad-hoc data requests
- Create and update analytical models and excel templates to support client and prospect needs, including commitment modeling and cash flow projections
- Liaise with information management colleagues, JPMAM client service managers and technology team to streamline/automate/verify client data and reporting (standard/customized/ad hoc)
- Complete requests for proposal (RFPs), requests for information (RFIs), due diligence questionnaires, quarterly/monthly client/consultant questionnaires and ad hoc requests for both current and prospective clients
- Assist in creating and updating all marketing collateral such as client and prospect pitch books, educational pieces, insights collateral, etc.
- Monitor industry databases and publications for relevant environment, competitive and marketing information
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in private equity, finance, investor relations, data analytics or accounting strongly preferred
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel and proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Possesses organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail
- Demonstrate analytical skills and financial modeling aptitude
- Ability to prioritize a variety of responsibilities and ad-hoc requests in a fast-paced client-facing environment ability to learn and execute new tasks quickly and in real-time.
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Experience using industry databases and publications (i.e., Pitch book, Preqin, Capital IQ, Thomson Reuters, etc.)
