Job Description :The Infrastructure Engineer - Avaya position is responsible for :- Implementation and maintenance of telephone hardware and software in a very complex and high paced environment.- Maintenance of service level agreements (SLA's) for all of the client's telecommunications systems, applications and services; this includes system health checks and monitoring of alarm systems- Verification of proper operation of telecommunication systems, circuits and equipment- Maintenance of telecommunications system usage guidelines and best practices by following and executing policies and procedures- Account administration for supported systems and of hosted systems.- Troubleshooting with Telecom vendors as needed.- Working and closing related service tickets.- Responding to requests for service including moves, adds, changes (MAC's), and technical assistance for any other telecommunications related services.- Identifying problems, recommending and implementing corrective solutions, and/or escalating the issue to the appropriate IT member or vendor.This role requires the following experience :- Minimum 8 years in IT.- Minimum 3 years of experience with Avaya Media Gateway and Server installation and management, Avaya IP Telephone, and vector knowledge, and IP design and maintenance.- Proficient knowledge of the Avaya System Installation and Management, Avaya System and Session Manager, Avaya Communication Manager, and Avaya CMS.- Knowledge of carrier services and interfaces.- Strong interpersonal skills (oral and written).- Must have strong organizational skills and technical documentation.- Excellent interpersonal skills.- Effective troubleshoot and problem solver.
